“She didn’t go out often” could have been expressed as. .... she hardly ever exercised at all, not even walking around. The morbidly obese probably got even more so during the year and a half of lockdowns. Not advising people who are obese that their condition is one of the most severe comorbidities of all is another failing of our government.

There are many comorbidities that a person cannot do anything about such as having cancer but there are some comorbities whose harmful effects could be lessened, not easily but possible.

We're not even allowed to call it "obesity" or "overweight" anymore because it makes people feel bad. Today, it's "body positivity" and the fashion magazines promote it as healthy.
