No longer any shortage in east Texas. At least not for the most popular calibers...

The supply is still limited, and just a few calibers. I looked today, the local academy didn’t have any new stuff except for a few cases of 9mm. They have been keeping 5.56 and .223 fairly constantly the past 2 months, 9mm usually and some .40. A few .45acp show up now and then and I even got a couple of boxes of .380 not long ago.

I’ve seen almost no .38 and .357 at all, not much .45 acp, no other pistol calibers, just 9mm, .40 and a few .380 here and there.

Today that was about it, most of the norma .22LR are gone and that was 10 bucks for 50. No thanks, I still have plenty .22 LR that I got at half that price, and it still shows up now and then cheaper than that. Also actually got some CCI Stingers a few weeks ago. No 22 mag lately.

Rifle - They had a few .308 last week, and some 30-06 not long ago but not much, not sure what price are I haven’t been checking prices on rifle ammo. Last time I saw any .243, which is what I need, it was way expensive, somewhere around 30 bucks for 20 rounds. No thanks. Last box I bought was $17 I think. Plenty 5.56 and .223.

Plenty shotgun shells, mostly small game loads and some target loads. They have some #3 steel for ducks, a lot of #6 and 7.5, no buckshot and a few 12 ga 3 inch slugs. Academy has pallets of cases in the middle of the aisle, various shotgun shells, I didn’t look too close but mostly 12 gauge #6 and 7.5 I think.

Some 20 gauge too but not as much, some cases available too, nothing at all for my 16 gauge, but then all I want to find is some more buckshot. I have 3 or 4 boxes of small game loads if I need it, which is highly doubtful. Mostly #5 and 6.

Only time I’ve shot the 16 ga in the past 15 years is a few months back when I got a new full choke barrel and did a couple of test shots. Winchester model 1200 pump. Previously had the modified choke barrel it’s had since it was made in 1964. Still gets cleaned and oiled twice a year though...

Good grief! Four or five cartridges could make a hunting season, one or two in a pinch.

Most ammo is used up for target practice or fun. We'll make more.

In the meantime, there's enough ammo across the nation, in the hands of good people, to keep the commies crapping in their panties for many years to come.
