You’re probably right, gator. But they are no longer attracting the best and the brightest when it comes to the soldiers I saw coming in during the 80s, when Reagan was POTUS.

My Battery had a pass rate of 98.5% on the PT test, and it was a HQs battery. From what I’ve read, unit commanders would kill for that high a rate.

“...Almost half of female soldiers have failed the weakened Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) in the first half of 2020, according to data that was released on Monday.

In comparison, only seven percent of male soldiers failed the ACFT throughout the year. This is another stake through the heart of the Left’s equality lie.

The ACFT consists of six different events, and the test has been changed since last year. Women are now allowed to skip the leg tucks, which had a 41 percent fail rate. Even though the test has been weakened, 44 percent of women still failed the test in the first half of the year.

Wow.

They are simply ignoring physical strength and fitness. They don't care, and aren't even bothering to hide it.

I am willing to bet that they deal with this by requiring the failing person to take some PT course, go to a diet class, and then they are good until the next ACFT is required. Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

Nobody is punished or adversely affected. The military in place now views fitness as unimportant, and think our military is going to be fighting its battles from armchairs.

Well, this battle to preserve the capability of individual soldiers has been lost. As they said, it is all about promoting feminism and transgenderism, both abhorrent to discipline and effectiveness. The next real battle is going to result in real bloodshed.

And the people responsible for this travesty are all going to be...unavailable. As Leftists always are when their idiocy results in defeat for America. In Afghanistan, they are already trying to, and succeeding in re-writing the narrative.

This is terribly discouraging.
