I thought the Supreme Court ruled mandatory vaccinations unconstitutional.

Read the rulings for Jacobson vs state of Mass.

Cliff notes version. The individual states can mandate vaccines for the public good against a deadly pathogen. It’s unclear if the Federal government can via the general welfare clause or not. I am expecting a case to make it to the USSC to decide just that in the next year or so once the fedgov mandates travel documents that case will almost assuredly go all the way. The question is will this current group of 9 interpret the general welfare clause to include public health measures including vaccinations. The precident to close borders for pathogen control is already set in case law under the General welfare clause and by direct law from Congress granting the executive control over the borders.
