To be fair, nurses and physicians are leaving the hospital setting due to overwhelming hospital patient volume and high risk in recent months. Requiring the vaccine for health care workers is not the primary reason for staffing shortages.
this is mostly being done already, by company policies instead of government mandates.
Don’t have a solution. Not in favor of vaccine mandates, though I am vaccinated and encourage others to get it; my child works in a nursing home, and they recently told everyone they need to be vaccinated (my adult child is), but she is hearing that the place need to shut down entirely because of a non-trivial % of staffers who are refusing it - and even without covid they have had a hard time keep the place staffed; chronically short staffed already (like 1 person working a floor when there are supposed to be 4-5 on any given night). This won’t help that situation - on the other hand, the elderly residents are the most likely to get sick and die - and most don’t have the option to move out - so putting them at more risk doesn’t seem particularly fair either. Tough call.
If only we treated nurses like teachers. High pay, more vacation time, appreciation for their work, government money thrown at hospitals like we threw billions at public schools to fix ventilation systems. Nurses help people, teachers screw up kids. It's amazing what is going on in this country. I think we may have already lost it, the GOP is deaf, dumb and blind to this.

The “experimental vaccines” are quickly losing their effectiveness; they have caused far more death and serious injury in a few months than all other vaccines combined in over 30 years; the people who have first hand knowledge of this are being forced from their jobs. I worked as a Hazmat team leader for many years before I retired. Many of my former co-workers and subordinates want nothing to do with these experimental vaccines either. We typically take far more vaccinations than the public. In general the more knowledgeable and informed a person is on the details of this debacle, the less likely that they have any desire to have Joe Biden force this crap on them.
Do t forget, most of those company policies originate from heavy state and federal policy “suggestions,” mandates and (probably) laws.

I agree. It is all part of the plan to take the country down, get a global government and enslave us.
There is a shortage of nursing assistants around here - they have found out they can make more money driving for Amazon & the work environment is more pleasant/not as difficult. After having two friends in a nursing home, I know the jobs the CNAs have ... it’s unbelievable the work they do & what they put up with for not a lot of pay so I totally understand why they take opportunities to leave ..... I would say 90+%, maybe even 95-98% that were in the nursing home were black.
Gotta destroy America to take to the One World Government - seems to be happening pretty fast now....
However, the elderly population in the nursing home, who are close to 100% vaxed, are also not immune to Delta. And given their co-morbidities, will most likely die.
This is Cuomo, take 2. The silver lining is cost reduction for Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. The beancounters will be happy.
