I can read Horse Soldiers and watch 12 Strong, too. Actually met and spent some time with the Team Leader and a couple of his teammates. Not a one of them was a condescending a$$hole like you. They didn’t look down their noses at anyone.
But, Two different missions. Can’t compare the two.
First one extremely effective. The Taliban and Al Queda were dealt with.
The second one was a different mission that required kids to drive and walk around. And then the insurgency started and they started dying.

I spent a year of my life there and to see 20 years of work, trillions of dollars, 2500 US Military brothers and sisters killed there - all destroyed by these IDIOTS in a few days. Thousands of Afghan women and children will be raped and murdered because of their ABJECT STUPIDITY. They gave up Bagram AFB, released 6-7K Taliban prisoners (we’ll have to fight again elsewhere), 10-40K Americans are left behind, along with thousands more Afghans who helped us in the fight. This all makes me very angry.
