Here is my theory: We are destined to have a unified government for the world. It makes no difference if those who cross our border in droves live here or where they originate. Borders are not protected because they will be eliminated in the very near future. Elections are not important because the leadership will eventually be imposed upon us. Our citizenship is immaterial for the same reasons.

I used to reject that particular conspiracy theory; however, everything I've seen since I encountered that appears to be a piecemeal implementation of that goal.
