Low information voters don't pay enough attention to political news to be "told" much. It's 2021, they're not getting 2022 midterm election news today. The only people blaming DeSantis are partisan left-wing activists whose votes next year are already 100% set in stone.

If it's 2022 and COVID is ravaging the country and we're still wearing mandatory masks and having lockdowns and the economy is in shambles, an independent voter in a swing district/state federal election isn't going to be blaming Ron DeSantis for it no matter how hard they try.
