It’s a good story. Too many drugs in that world in the 70s. Much temptation for these great musicians. They were great and they were very young there.

The tragedy of the Allman Brothers is what could have been.

Pretty much were done after 1973, they could have rivaled any band if they had kept the original lineup intact.

Butch couldn't support himself without the Allman Brothers band. I think it is one of the reasons he killed himself. He was really a good drummer. It was hard to see it because there were Two drummers in that band.
