IIRC a Federal judge in PA issued a scathing 60 page long decision last summer declaring at least some (and,IIRC,many) of the draconian orders that their Rat Governor had handed down to be unconstitutional.

Also last summer a Federal judge in Massachusetts declared one of the draconian orders that the state's Trump hating "Republican" Governor to be a violation of 2nd Amendment rights (he declared gun ranges to be "non essential" and closed them).

How is it that any government official...or government agency...has the Constitutional authority to do some of the things they've done in the last 18 months?????

The longer this eviction thing goes on, the more eventful the resolution will be. Eventually lenders will be making noise about landlord defaults on mortgages. Betting on state agencies to distribute funds from the COVID relief lollapalooza funds is unrealistic.

On the other hand, this may just be a cry for help. "Stop me because I can't control myself." Maybe the dems are just waiting for the Supreme Court to govern in Congress's absence.

The CDC does NOT have the power to change STATE LAWS on Landlord-Tenant contracts... they do NOT have this power, and States and individual landlords should and will IGNORE this IDIOTIC intrusion into business agreements. There is NO purview the CDC has— in its agency mission statement and responsibility— which may be applied to CLINICAL prevention of Covid by forcing private land/property owners to allow tenants to live rent free. Living Rent Free because of the LIE of not being able to get employment is an even BIGGER LIE.

They were shot down once- they will be shot down again. FL Gov. DeSantis will re-affirm for Florida residents this “ruling” has NO, ZERO legal power over contracts.
