Saw ‘em at the New Orleans Superdome grand opening, August 31, 1975, two days after I got out of the Navy. The place wasn’t even finished yet!
Spent three years in the South (FL, SC) from 1972-75, right in the middle of the Southern rock heyday.
Marshall Tucker, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Ozark Mountain Daredevils, Wet Wille, Z Z Top, Charlie Daniels, Outlaws, Johnny Winter, Canned Heat, Pure Prairie League and more I can’t remember now. Saw ‘em all. I’m a lucky man.
