Well, what I thought that this author articulated well is that putting aside the severity of the cases (which, as you point out, appears to be diminished when compared to the OG version of this crud), on a risk analysis basis we take much greater risks every day of the week just going about our lives.

The constant fear-mongering that the CDC is engaged in should now be obvious even to the average low-information Democrat voter.
