First degree murder requires that they prove premeditation. That's not always obvious. A second degree murder charge is enough to prevent bail and can always be upgraded to first degree as the investigation proceeds.
I think intentional beheading because it can’t really be an accident is a capital crime. Death penalty.
I think you'll find the charges upgraded long before the trial begins. As for death penalty Minnesota doesn't have it. Abolished it in 1911.
The trend is toward less civilization, not more. The trend is inevitable. The only solution, for people like you and I, is to get out and get as far away as possible.
Good luck to you.

Yes, I fully agree. The question is where to relocate.
My D-I-L is an American citizen born in Slovakia, and her parents and extended family live there. My grandchildren will be attending school there for the coming year. I’ve been there several times and would consider emigrating but the language barrier is formidable, but everyone I’ve met while there seems to be friendly and receptive of Americans. Not sure of the immigration laws but might check that out.
If I had an option I would move asap
Easier to stay in the US. Think Idaho, Montana, the Dakotas or the southern tier of states, rural areas.
Beheading someone is 2nd degree?

I already live in the sticks, but these nut cases now in control of the government are flying and busing invaders crossing the southern border all over the country. And the western and southern tier states? Not good! The mountain west is being populated by the Leftists who wrecked the coastal states, and crime in the South is getting worse everyday. I’ve spent time in all the States you mention, so I’ve seen their problems up close.
