Not really, imo.

Being older myself, I pay attention to other seniors and do personal compare/contrast exercises on myself and I have found;

A lot of older people do no have very many people skills and can't really talk to other people unless drunk or among their own circle.

They often use filler words just to try to be part of something;

Don't work to hard, Hot enough for you?, Is that right?, etc.

When I listen to joe stolen, that's all I hear from him ... filler words and phrases that say literally nothing, which he couples with gestures and facial expressions and personally ... I think he has marshmallow for a brain and really can't communicate.

I’m not old and use the same phrases. Point is I don’t enjoy banal conversation, and most seniors are at that point in life, albeit a little later. It’s pointless and annoying to talk about the weather and other people’s opinions. Where’s the beef?

Everyone in the South must not have people skills.
I use and hear those three phrases almost every day.
