Looking at the pic I immediately assumed this guy was an informant and not a SA. Not just an SA but a SAC according to the article. SAC - Special Agent in Charge, first level of FBI management - head of a region or office.
I assumed that he was an undercover agent, and they often do maintain their undercover "look" while working other cases, but way would an SAC be working undercover?
