In my experience “community”, when used by politicians is always a code for ‘black part of town’. I think in this case ‘trusted messengers’ refers to people the black community are thought to trust.

I'm only through the first two chapters of Mark Levin's new book "American Marxism" and what I have read so far explains a lot -- much -- of what is going on. The book is intense, but readable as it goes through much of the history of how marxism is implemented in a free society as it is underway in America.

Not having any financial interest in the book and I certainly don't know Levin personally, I highly recommend adding it -- and soon -- to your reading list if for no other reason than to gain an understanding what is difficult to understand: Why and how people are willing to give up their precious liberty not just for safety, but for a "cause", no matter how much harm that "cause" inflicts.
