Since WHEN, does a grown man (twice the size of a woman) need a weapon to subdue her?

You are mixing two different things.
Use of force, and who can shoot who.
I will shoot anyone who is at an appropriately high threat level to me, i dont care gender or age.
In a situation where lethal force needs to be employed it matter not gender or age. Its a bad assumption to say you cant shoot a woman or a kid because of size differences.
What if its not a situation where the goal is to subdue someone? What if its a kill or be killed situation?
Further women and kids are smaller and will view men as a bigger threat, they will be much more likely to go ahead and use lethal force against you, but here you’re questioning why treat them as an equal threat. Thats what gets you killed,
