Well, Juneteenth now officially gives blacks 2 holidays and an entire month to celebrate their identity group and provide them with year round affirmation while no other Dem identity group, other than gays and dudes in dresses, has that honor. Now, how about a Chuckteenth holiday for me? I’m feeling a little neglected and I could use a little affirmation and acclaim.

The middle of January is set aside to honor MLK. Besides the actual holiday, we have to acknowledge his real birthday as well. Then there’s black history month where the ads all celebrate black American because...well just because. And now we have this, which will take up the middle week of June, at least.

But I wonder what the alphabet people think about having attention drawn away from ‘their’ month. Will they be happy to share?
