Everyday Social Media Monopoly Ripoffs

My brother-in-law's half-brother wrote a history of concrete (cement) since Roman times. It was on Amazon, it didn't sell that poorly. He didn't get a dime. The world's most gigantic retailer couldn't give the poor guy a single buck.

Same thing about YouTube's sincere declaration that some content is copyrighted and you can't watch it. Monetization and other blather aside, they rip off millions' of instances merely of professional, not amateur content. They pay no royalties.

If you want to know who rules you, just find out who you can't criticize. (Voltaire didn't say it, but it's still true.)

Google has been caught placing your ads on ad farms where no one sees them. Big advertising agencies who had the money did investigate and confronted Google on this and they were told of course it was inadvertent and they would refund some of the money. Not all mind you but just some. Youtube / Google uses your content to make money and deny you any ad money. They remove subscribers randomly, they say you are using others work while they themselves collect all the ad money.
