Looks like they won't be going out on any riot-control missions however. The politicians in the local "Justice" system have made it unmistakably clear that Antifa rioters are untouchable, as long as they target the "right" neighborhoods.
After the coming attrition, the replacement police forces will be recruited from Antifa members. Things should get a lot quieter after that. Or at least we won't hear so much about events of the day.
Just a few grumbling Right Wing malcontents and "White Supremacists" (tm) that can be easily handled. Nothing to be concerned about. But Portland will need some more Federal bailout money. Because - shut up already!
I doubt that "voters" have any real influence over the process. We already know who counts the votes.
A friend’s son is a detective in Portland. They are GONE. Period. And the regular police are inadequately trained and outfitted for riot control. I hope Portlanders are happy with their electoral decisions.
