“ The GOP is secretly quite happy with Obamacare because it moves closer to what their big donors really want.”
It doesn’t JUST get healthcare off the employer’s books - it also sends oodles of taxpayer dollars to insurance companies who can deny care, mandate cheaper care, and keep the difference to recycle to “our representatives”.
We need a new government.
>>Good thing we fight so hard for Amy conehead Barrett, and the party boy rapist Kavenaugh. <<
Look. kavanaugh was unjustly accused by a mentally deranged well-paid shill of an event that did NOT happen 30 years ago.
The attack was purely due to his perceived ideology being CONSERVATIVE. One of US.
If he has been a disappointment to conservatism, so be it. But do NOT give credence to that slander on his life and character. And though him, OURS.
You should be VERY ashamed.
Your mistake is assuming Kavanaugh is “ours.” Obviously, he is not. We should not be wasting a moment defending him. He certainly has no interest in defending us. What’s good for the goose applies in spades here.
Simply put, the states never expressly constitutionally given the feds the specific power to establish a national healthcare program, a major constitutional problem with Obamacare that the dysfunctional Roberts Court has been wrongly ignoring imo.
”From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added].” —United States v. Butler, 1936.
The significance of 18 states not wanting Obamacare that the Court also seems to be ignoring is this. The remaining 32 states aren't enough to ratify a healthcare amendment to the Constitution under Article V, even if all those states wanted Obamacare.
If the 18 states didn't argue something similar to what this post presents to the Court, then what did they argue?
>>Your mistake is assuming Kavanaugh is “ours.”<<
YOUR mistake is in reading comprehension. I said he was PERCIEVED as “ours.”
The attack on Kavanaugh was NOT an attack on him as person. The very invented nature of the “charges” were due to his being considered a conservative.
It was an unfounded attack on US. Repeating the lies, even if he has been disappointing, gives additional weight to them and using them as a blatant attack on conservatives.
Reading is FUNdamental.
Nope, not a bit. No more than he is at plunging the knife in our back numerous times since we all fought so hard for him.
He’s a damned traitor and so he can defend those allegations alone.
Screw him he’s trash. He lied to us, maybe he also lied back then.
I dislike him more than a democrat. If an enemy soldier lobs a grenade at you, that’s one thing. If the guy in the foxhole with you starts attacking you, that’s worse.
