This extended well beyond a shell corporation which was created for this purpose, in fact it had the inside blessings of corrupt government. It wasn’t until the names Edward Snowden and Aaron Alexis (navy yard shooter) garnered media attention asking how they passed background checks.

You are right. Also, socialists know that socialism doesn’t work, so they have to have some group to blame for their failure. And the eradication of that group will supposedly result in utopia.

It won’t happen. The left was successful with their illegal alien sanctuaries, and the Right is using the same legal or illegal sanctuary laws to enforce 2A sanctuaries. What’s good for illegal immigrants is good for gun ownership as it is truing out.
