Few things have made me feel more libertarian than putting solar on my house and producing most of the power I need on my own and freeing me from worrying if the godless Dims will force energy changes at the national or local level. But that only works if you do your research and customize a solar/inverter/battery system for your specific power demands and schedule.
What battery system did you use? I hear that Tesla’s Powerwall will now only be sold bundled with their solar roof tiles.
IMHO, solar is good if you do it yourself. Think more libertarian than like a big-government-one-size-fits-all-we-know-whats-best-for-you greenie libtard.
^ this + 1 Alternatives work well on a small scale. Taxpayer subsidized industrial scale, not so much. On a large scale there is no incentive to optimize.
