The DOJ targeted people of both parties—the Republican was White House Counsel and his wife. Therefore we can be pretty sure Trump did not know about this. Whether the AG knew is another matter.

The records were seized in 2017 and 2018 but prosecutors were unable to tie anyone to leaks.
Actually, they were not sure they could withstand a vigorous defense...not the same thing as the above statement but it just exemplifies the propaganda media.
