I actually might be okay with this provided the license is ‘Shall Issue” and would allow the license holder to carry their weapon ANYWHERE in the United States and it’s territories. That includes government buildings, government lands, schools, sporting arenas, airports, and airplanes.
After all, if a license holder demonstrates firearm proficiency, passes a background check every five years and the government approves the license, they should be considered ‘safe’, right?

There should be no need for renewal every 5 years !
If you pass once, it should be lifetime approval, or else the Dims will restrict the numbers of approved trainers.
Background checks would probably include political party affiliation and activity, if left to the Dims.
This is an infringement of a human right!
