Heinz Lammerding, the SS Strumbahnfuhrer(Major) who ordered the massacre and who's brigade actually carried it out was found guilty in absentia by a French court and sentenced to death but the French government sought an extradition from the West German government and the Bonn government never offered to hand him over. The bastard did good in business after the war and died in 1971.
