Exactly right. Amazing how many adults fail Logic 101. The important thing is whether the information is correct or not, not who said it. It is OK to be suspicious of certain sources, but to dismiss information outright without at least considering it and corroborating it is an emotional reaction, not a mature and logical one.
I know for certain that the info about GA and PA is accurate. I don't doubt the rest. This article contains quotes from named sources, unlike most articles from the NY Slimes and Amazon Compost. Like you, I don't see the problem. I try to confirm important news with multiple sources.
