I had coffee myself this morning. Or I should say covfefe.
Laminated pastry. I’ve never heard the term. As a chow hound, I need to know what that might include. In the film, “Mr. Baseball” the leading lady sez to Selleck’s character, “Japan takes the best frim around the world and makes it her own”. In many regards, that’s true. I’ve never been to France, but Japanese pastry shops make “Napleons” so heavenly, it’s hard to imagine anything better in Paris.
Napoleons. Ummmm! Celestial.
Thanks. I luv croissants, too. But Napoleons are a different item altogether. The lightest, heavenly tasting cake dough, layered with various flavored light, smooth, perfectly sweetened frosting. A sweet memory of my three years in Japan. One year on Hokkaido and two on Honshu, in Uncle Sam’s Army. Great duty.
The generator is stainless, and the hoses are something food-grade. I like that you can adjust the grind, the length of the pull, the water temperature, and that you can steam the milk right there.
I’ve had mine for over a year, bought used on FB Marketplace. Saeco is owned by Philips. I had to replace a little interlock switch & was able to buy it from them for less than $10.00.
The seller had bought it refurbished and was upgrading.
I thought your screen name was somewhat ironic, as I have switched from buying grounds to grinding by hand. With grounds I bought, I was drinking 2 pots of coffee a day, most days. Cranking 250 times to grind 1 pot by hand, I now drink 1 pot every 2 days. I said to my wife, “It’s a good exchange of quantity for quality!”
Eau de locomotive
I agree.
I love the smell, but don’t like the taste so much. I can do without it.
My parents were OK with coffee, but now that may dad is gone I find mom is not that much a fan at all. Dad was definitely a fan, although he never was big on all this fancy garbage. Hated Starbucks. “Burned coffee” as he saw it.
People are nuts about coffee and about alcohol, like it’s the greatest thing ever. I don’t like either. The latter for various reasons.
Instant coffee dittos. I’m a fan.
Although I like a cappuccino when I’m out.
Never drank coffee until almost 30.....traveling out west in sub zero windy weather, stayed at motel with outside entrance....2nd floor.... so by the time walked down for check out I was freezing! Had complimentary coffee...loaded it with cream and sugar...wonderful!
Same here......after accident I couldn’t even lift a coffee pot...Solution = Instant. Went back to coffee maker weeks later....yulk! Stayed with instant!
That’s what cocoa is for.
:)
I appreciate the lenticular cloud warmed by the rays of the morning sun.
Chelated iron?
See post #11
True, but I didn’t want to wait for cocoa....it was brutal cold out!
(smile) OK, good one!
Anyhow, here is the chelated iron.
Truth is truth!
Happy coffee-ing!
