Crew members and passengers aboard a Delta flight leaving Los Angeles stopped an attempted hijacking Friday afternoon.
The flight was headed to Nashville but had to be diverted to Albuquerque for an emergency landing after a male passenger tried to break into the cockpit.
Delta crew members and male passengers were seen wrestling with the suspect.
The suspect was dragged to the back of the plane.
VIDEO:
Crew members used a zip tie to restrain the man

They self identified as catchers?
“My German friend looked me straight in the eye and said, ‘Yes, but those were Americans.’”
Cool. I take that as an amazing compliment to US.
“Some people can be affected by high altitude flying, experiencing a condition called ‘’ofhypoxia’’ that can cause nausea , dizziness and sometimes irrational , aggressive or even violent behavior.”
Maybe “hypoxia”? That’s definitely a problem with masks. Masks are required on planes. I’m surprised this isn’t happening more often.
This is also why there should always be a male flight attendant working in the front of the plane. They are the first line of defense against someone rushing the cabin.
Below is an old article written by a French soldier about serving with Americans in Afghanistan. Very complimentary regarding our guys.

“Arriving in contact with the enemy, the way they fight is simple and disconcerting: they just charge! They disembark and assault in stride, they bomb first and ask questions later - which cuts any pussyfooting short.”
Darn. Here is the part of the article that is very fitting for this thread:
“Anyone with a passing knowledge of Kipling knows the lines from Chant Pagan: ‘If your officer’s dead and the sergeants look white remember it’s ruin to run from a fight. So take open order, lie down, sit tight/ And wait for supports like a soldier.”
This, in fact, is the basic philosophy of both British and Continental soldiers. ‘In the absence of orders, take a defensive position.’ Indeed, virtually every army in the world. The American soldier and Marine, however, are imbued from early in their training with the ethos: In the Absence of Orders: Attack! Where other forces, for good or ill, will wait for precise orders and plans to respond to an attack or any other ‘incident’, the American force will simply go, counting on firepower and SOP to carry the day.
This is one of the great strengths of the American force in combat and it is something that even our closest allies, such as the Brits and Aussies (that latter being closer by the way) find repeatedly surprising. No wonder it surprises the hell out of our enemies.)”
Damn all that toxic masculinity...
First impressions are mental breakdown from the clip I saw...
Thank you for the link. Very interesting read (especially coming from a Frenchy).
I heard they no longer serve alcohol on domestic flights.. (not sure if true or not)
I am mainly talking about before the flight, some people are stressed about flying in general throw in COVID and they are really really stressed, they arrive at the airport early, toss down several adult beverages and a anti-anxiety pill and board the plane
An actual, real, normal male - not the kind of male usually seen among flight attendants.
“Sounds like a bad panic attack on a crazy person”
I agree, and maybe not even a crazy person. A basic panic attack; it happens.
“This is also why there should always be a male flight attendant working in the front of the plane.”
Have ya SEEN the male flight attendants?
Yes. Extreme prejudice would have ensued, fer sherz, as soon as he went stupid. Nuthin to loose, dirtbag. You’re gonna lose and I mean big time!
Toss him out through the blue water exit.
Only males because that denotes real men.
From the video, it seemed more like a dude freaking out on drugs or just mental problems than a “hijacking”.
Flight attendant had easy access to zip ties.
That MOTHER#%*<er wouldn’t have left the plane breathing if I had been there.
