About 6 years ago, I attended the graduation ceremony when a family friend was getting his MD.
Before giving out the diplomas, they announced that the valedictorian, with a 2.1 grade point average was going to speak.
The thought that flashed through my mind was, “2.1, that a low C student. What kind of ignorant clowns are they releasing on the unsuspecting public and passing off as doctors.”
If one can read and have basic comprehension, you can be a doctor. It’s not overly complex. I have quite a few friends that chose that route, and they’re not overly any more intelligent than anyone else. They had money to back them up and could read English.
