I have a friend who lives in Palm Desert. It gets hot there (but as they like to say, it’s a dry heat). His utility thoughtfully automatically turns off his air conditioning on hot days. Only way to stay cool is drive around, visit a mall or an Indian casino. This is in addition to the brownouts/blackouts when it is windy.
Insane. They provide their customers less service and charge them more for it. What a scam.
