There was a guy the other day who was saying he couldn’t get the doctor to give him Ivermectin, so he’s been buying horse paste at the pet shop and eating that. Doesn’t even have COVID; he’s eating horse paste to protect himself against it. Can you imagine? We truly do live in interesting times.

EXACTLY! I can't begin to tell you how many conversations I've had with friends and loved ones about how "big pharma" is just "out to make billions off COVID". So, I did the math..the cost of Invermectin used prevenatively (even assuming the Fed got an unbelievable, 80+% discount from buying tens of millions of doses) actually EXCEEDS the cost of the Pfizer, Moderna AND J&J vaccines by between $10 and $30 BILLION dollars, depending on which alternative (Pfizer, Moderna or J&J you compare Invermectin to). Imagine that. And if "big pharma" is "just out to make their billions", why on earth wouldn't Merck, who as you rightly point out is ALSO big pharma (and one of the biggest) actually be pushing the Fed like banshees to get THEIR share of said billions IF Invermectin actually did, indeed, do something to prevent or treat COVID?
I asked that up-thread, and so far, not one person has been able to answer the obvious..also pointed out that Merck has been ACTIVELY telling people NOT to use Invermectin for COVID. Gee..why would they want to walk away from all those billions and billions of dollars that would be available to them? Guess they know that it does. not. work. for COVID. Yet, some people go eat horse paste or take horse pills because "some Doctor on the Internet (who's medical credentials said people have no idea on) SAID it works!".
