Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) says that Dr. Fauci perjured himself before Congress when he claimed that the NIAID did not fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where COVID-19 originated, and "ought to be immediately fired."

Many of us here knew that Herr Fauci was a fraud and was loyal to the DNC from the beginning of the virus crap.

If it’s not bad enough Fauci pushed for the restart of Gain-of-Function research thru NIH funding; then following the lab leak, both he and NIH conspired to actively dissuade funding any testing of the effectiveness of alternative treatments to vaccines such as Ivermectin.
What is doubly disturbing is this is the same pattern Fauci followed with the AIDS crisis; prohibiting expiration of treatments in favor of vaccines; which in the case of AIDS, never were successful.
Yes, he screwed up the HIV treatments royally, in much the same manner.

Forcing him to retire is more likely. No way will he be punished for the world-wide fraud he perpetrated.
Fauxi is the perfect example of The Peter Principle run wild and the poster child showing why we desperately need term limits and a mandatory retirement age.
Senator Paul does an excellent job but the last I looked, committing perjury was an actual crime, at least for non-elite Americans.
If one of us lied on the stand in front of Congress would we be fired or, would a prosecution commence?
He should resign and retire while he is able. He might get a plea bargain.
What should really happen to him is trial, conviction and punishment.
