Having been cancelled last year, my work conference is back on again. I've never been to Tennessee other than to drive through it on the way to elsewhere (or fly over it) I know many areas can be a no-go zone due to urban danger. Any recommendations? I'll be traveling with my work group down there and probably not with hubby as he will most likely stay up here to continue working on a gut rehab (rental property)
I would think MusicRow would be alright. Many law abiding flag wavers there.
I guess it’s relative to what you think is dangerous. Compared to the East side of Cleveland, I’ve never thought of any part of Nashville as dangerous.
Nashville is a lovely city...haven’t heard anyone refer to it as dangerous before...
There's a lot of good music and ribs in Memphis, whose reputation for safety is less stellar.
I’d stay away from RVs parked on 2nd Avenue...other than that you should be good to go.

The maps don’t adjust for the level of legitimate activity. There may be an equal amount of crime downtown and in neighborhood N, but there may be 20 times more people walking around downtown.
These maps are more suitable for homebuyers.
In most places, you are safe walking around during the day. I’ve had two daytime incidents in Memphis and one in DC.
a judgmental map of Nashville:
I’m a Minnesotan but stopped at Arnold’s Country Kitchen in Nashville on our way to Florida. I always wanted to try a meat and three and I was not disappointed. They’re a James Beard award winner. It’s nothing fancy, food line and shared tables, but the food is so, so good!

not available for every city, unfortunately:

but very enjoyable to view!
Nashville, other than the Lefty City leaders, is a great spot. Lots of pan handlers though that need to be helped as most are either on drugs or need mental health help. Museums are great there too. Ryman worth the visit.
Really depends on area of conference.. downtown or Opry Mills area.
Nashville has a beautiful full scale replica of the Parthenon in a lovely park. That’s where I would go. Nice spot for a picnic.
Fine, but the OP asked about Nashville.
I thought he said Tennessee in a broader sense. If I misread... oh, well.
