Wallen is/was a big up and comer in country. A bunch of recent hits. He’s a songwriter who also worked with others on big songs. I also learned he was on the Voice a number of years ago. Got cut mid rounds.
The critical word in your statement is popular.
I strongly encourage you (and anyone who despises corporate-fostered music) to check out https://bandcamp.com. From this portal you can search for and sample TONS of independent music across all genres and formats. You want an album of rock that was released recently? It's there...and you can listen to it for lyrical content.
And, some of it is VERY good.
We all detest the MSM because they have an agenda and aren't honest. Why should we, in turn, outsource the filtration of good, new music to the same forces driving the MSM?
In a few years we’ll be able to cancel people who trashed Trump and his supporters.
These idiots think their evil will never bite back ... what fools.
I hate the new hick-hop country music. Partying, screwing and trucks is all it is with a really non-country beat.
I don’t know this fellow or his music. I am assuming he apologized and there was no forgiveness, he is perpetually damned. I would tell the CMA people I have apologized and it did no good whatsoever, so take your award and shove it up your unforgiving, narrow minded a$$.
I agree, I’m irritated by the too-pop hick-hop (LOL...glad there’s a name for it). It’s been this decade for sure. Han note used it on his show and such. But what I hear from my old country station is sounding too much like hip hop. Why make it sound like something else? Why not just be country?
