Any classic liberal (i.e. a modern day conservative) who supports the MLB is supporting an organization who hates them and will use the money you give them to hurt you.
As someone who used to do commercial lawn care, I can say that’s a damn nice job of lawn mowing. The striping is first rate.
Been to Target Field once. It’s about an hour from our house. The Twins beat the Texas Rangers 5-0, all the action was in the last four innings. It was a perfect day for baseball and the atmosphere was festive.
We had a catered luxury box due to girlfriend’s job connections. It was a great experience and Target Field is a great place to see a ball game, but I don’t care that much about baseball to begin with and I have no desire to go back.
All pro sports could disappear tomorrow and I wouldn’t miss it a bit.
Pro bowling is great to watch on tv. And I was a huge baseball fan.
Pro bowling? Too exciting! Give me curling any day!
Clark Griffith was the owner of the old Washington Senators - the Senators used to play at Griffith Stadium in The District - and he moved the Senators to the Twin Cities in 1961 and they became the Minnesota Twins. He openly stated that one of the reasons for the move was that The District was too black. Now, I’m not saying I agree with that, but it is ironic that the Twins now play in a facility that has an homage to George Floyd on the outside wall.
Metropolitan Stadium, back in the days of Harmon Killebrew and Tony Oliva....
I love baseball. But apparently baseball doesn't love me back.
There is a garbage incinerator nearby that waffs gaseous poisons over the stadium.
There actually has been a lot of curling on lately and we are watching. We love it.
