I went to the range at least six days a week for years.
I cut back to three days a week, and I shoot exclusively air pistol/rifle the other days.
I still shoot daily, but this is not the time to overuse ammo.
I used to shoot in competition just for fun both cowboy action and High Power rifle with M1 Garands. I didn’t Hot Rod my Firearms nor did I do a hell of a lot of practice. I actually practiced more for hunting. 2 to 3 times a month gets me over my urge to shoot ‘jones’. I have a lot (won’t say how much) .22lr ammo. I shoot a lot of that both rifle and pistol to save my stores of center fire ammo. Though I do shoot a fair amount of that too.
