Former President Donald Trump unloaded on his predecessor Wednesday; saying “comparing Joe Biden to Jimmy Carter is very unfair to Jimmy Carter.”
“I see that everybody is comparing Joe Biden to Jimmy Carter. It would seem to me that is very unfair to Jimmy Carter. Jimmy mishandled crisis after crisis, but Biden has CREATED crisis after crisis. First there was the Biden Border Crisis (that he refuses to call a Crisis), then the Biden Economic Crisis, then the Biden Israel Crisis, and now the Biden Gas Crisis. Joe Biden has had the worst start of any president in United States history, and someday, they will compare future disasters to the Biden Administration—but no, Jimmy was better!” posted Trump on his personal webpage.
He also weighed-in the political fallout surrounding Rep. Liz Cheney.
“Liz Cheney is a bitter, horrible human being. I watched her yesterday and realized how bad she is for the Republican Party. She has no personality or anything good having to do with politics or our Country. She is a talking point for Democrats, whether that means the Border, the gas lines, inflation, or destroying our economy. She is a warmonger whose family stupidly pushed us into the never-ending Middle East Disaster, draining our wealth and depleting our Great Military, the worst decision in our Country’s history. I look forward to soon watching her as a Paid Contributor on CNN or MSDNC!” he added.

Where have all the Buggy Whips gone when you need them?

I guess I’ll take some flak for this. But I sure wish Trump had more Ronald Reagan in him, and less Harry Truman. Insults work when you’re running in a primary. But otherwise they do more harm than good - they push away squishy middle-of-the-road voters. And like it or not, we need those voters.
So how about this instead, Mr. Trump: “Liz Cheney is out of touch. The party and the country is better off without her in a leadership position.”
I agree with the real President Donald Trump. It took a while for Carter to create the fuel shortage. Bidet did it in only 100 days.
That was Jerry Ford, I believe.
I think that was Jerry Ford’s line.
Trump is so right. Biden is CAUSING his problems.
I do NOT begrudge the President his 500 victory laps.
....comparing Joe Biden to Jimmy Carter is very unfair to Jimmy Carter.”....
Yup!!!!
"I want you to know that also I will not make age an issue of this campaign. I am not going to exploit, for political purposes, my opponent's youth and inexperience."
To this day I truly believe that quote of his in the debate with Mondale got him the highest electoral votes in history, he won 49 states which seem unbelievable today
Even now, at 96, Carter’s brain is functioning much better than Biden’s. Though I wholeheartedly disagreed with his policies and general direction in which he took the country.
Heck, even now, dead!, Reagan’s brain is working much better than Biden’s.
In 1976 I was 20 and voted in my first national election.
I voted for Jimmy Carter. Next to Mohammed this peanut farming idiot is more responsible for the spread of radical Islam than any jihadi.
Does it ever occur to this dope that if anyone had been interested in anything he had to say he’d have been relected?
Kinda makes me wonder what kind of discussion took place between Biden and Jimmah....
‘Come on man, tell me how you managed to screw up the economy so bad in one term!’
Trump liked Jimmy Carter back in the day.
Didn’t like Reagan.
Trump is right. Biden is an illegitimate dictator or front man for the totalitarian cartel behind him.
He was not elected. He is using military occupation in the capital city for his protection like a caudillo banana republic dictator.
Jimmy Carter did none of that.
Biden is an illegitimate fraudulent totalitarian even if the economy was good.
It is Ministry of Truth.
Propaganda. They literally make stuff up.
Gotta luv the Donald...
Carter sold The Panama Canal to China.
It really bothers me that Trump has evidently learned nothing in this regard. He still throws around insults as if he were an 8th grader in some schoolyard.
No one should get me wrong here. Insulting your enemies might have a place. But a risk-reward analysis should be done first. And I’m thinking that insulting Liz Cheney might drive away more voters than it attracts. Criticize her, yes. But insult her? I’m not seeing the net gain in that.
Jimmy is breathing easy finally after all these years and as always it took TRUMP to point it out, so Jimmy is probably very grateful. The only other thing he could have said is that if Biden did not straighten up he would end up worse than Obama. That would have been the double stinger.
Didn’t you win the All-American Summarizing Proust competition?
