I completely agree. If Trump’s true objective was to drain the swamp, why did he surround himself with the swamp in EVERY key position? Literally the worst evaluator or ‘talent’ I’ve ever seen.
Can’t hire who doesn’t want to work for you, nor who won’t be approved by China Mitch.
Trump was a great leader as a CEO. He hired people and promoted people in whom he saw evidence of accomplishment and or potential. He encouraged them to be the very best they could be. If they did not work out he fired them. Things do not work that way in Washington DC. He could not just hire people who had some attraction to him and then get rid of them when they didn’t work out without consequence. The swamp is deep.
