In Britain it's almost impossible for law abiding citizens to own a firearm. That's been true for some time now. So today the headlines in British papers,and the discussions in the British Parliament,are about knife crime. Everyone is demanding that knives be banned.

Of course when that's enacted and it's seen that assaults and murders are still occurring the cry will be "we must control cricket bats".
