Why didn’t Trump’s attorneys file a petition for a writ of quo warranto in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia?

I suspect they were waiting to get more evidence. That takes time.

I believe quo warranto is requested when a person is questioning the validity of an authority who is bringing a civil or criminal legal action against him. If one is not subject to a particular legal process a writ of quo warrannto cannot be filed.

Maybe a lawyer or paralegal could help on this one.

I think there will be writs for senators and congressmen. I have a feeling that there will be an even easier path back for President Trump.
