State senators in the deeply blue state of Vermont have approved voting for non-citizens in elections in the state capital of Montpelier.

"I believe if someone wishes to be able to vote they should be a citizen," Vermont state Sen. Brian Collamore said.

"The Montpelier bill allows what is defined as a legal resident of the United States to be able to vote in city elections. ... If someone is here on a permanent basis, why would he or she not want to participate in the process to become a citizen?" Collamore added.

Democrats in two Vermont towns are pushing for noncitizens to be allowed to vote in certain elections but must seek approval from state lawmakers first.

The Vermont House of Representatives approved the changes earlier this year.

It was passed in the state Senate this week.

My initial thought as well. Basically they are taking our rights away by diluting our votes.

Not mine. I live in Kentucky. I see states as countries, for the most part.

Not surprised. My wife is from Middlebury, VT. Took me a few years but she’s as conservative as they come. Huge Trump fan etc.

Keep in mind, I live a fairly sheltered life among like minded people and purposely avoid all things/people liberal.

When we would visit her mother in Burlington (also extreme cons) it was a different world. People smell bad, dirty hair, tattoos, Birkenstocks, Che shirts. It sucks BIG TIME!

Let’s all request absentee ballots for the next Montpelier election and raise holy hell by flooding their results with 2 or 3 times their city’s population of votes... for the most conservative candidate.

Make stupid rules, live with the consequences.

That is the main purpose of the Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA).

So let me get this straight:
IF I happen to be passing thru Vermont on election day, I can just show up, give a false address and vote?
We should send busloads.

All right then: If they get to vote in our country, do we get a vote in their country? No? Why not?

In the past, I would not. Now I would.

Everyone knows the elections are rigged, ... except these boneheads in VT. They believe they need the illegal vote to keep winning.

Been that way for a very long time. Just ask Bernie.
