Ren Zhengfei, the founder and CEO of Chinese tech giant Huawei, said in an internal speech last month that if parts of the business slowly move to the capital market, the manipulation of finances would be a legal problem. His words have led to speculation that Huawei may go public, as U.S. sanctions against Huawei have made its cash flow a big issue.
Changes nothing about Huawei’s operations, which are all based in China, rife with chinese intel officers, and subject to Chinese Intelligence Law that says all data is to be turned over to government servers in real time.
To be listed on US exchanges, they’ll be subject to the same auditing standards as any other company, so it won’t happen.
He was fired from his job as cyber expert to the Joint Chiefs for speaking out loudly and passionately to the free world about the danger of allowing the ChiComs to build the 5G networks everywhere. That guy.
He's quite a man.
