I live in Polk county myself and feel the same way. My wife and I have already caught the covid. We were really tired for 4 or 5 days with a stuffy nose. Used afrin nose spray and slept it off. A few stores around here still ask for you to wear masks. We don’t wear them. Was wearing them when we caught it. Lol. Love the fact you raise beef. Guessing you eat well every day.

Not sure where Polk County is without looking it up. I don't get out much around the state with cattle to watch.

But here's an interesting item. Last summer or fall, the CDC reported that of all people who contracted the covid, 89% of them with wore a mask all of the time or most of the time. The remaining 11% either wore masks part of the time or not at all. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to tell you that masks don't stop you from getting the covid. As a matter of fact, you have a better chance of not getting the virus if you didn't wear the mask.

The local county requires all businesses to wear masks but there is no penalty except to the employees if people don't wear masks. Customers can't be fined and the businesses hesitate to enforce the mask rule in such a small town with so few customers where most people know each other by name. So guess what? Not one wears masks anymore. The employees wear them because they can be fined.

Yeah, we have two large freezers. One is full of garden vegetables and orchard fruit. The other one is stuffed full of hamburger and steaks. We butcher a steer once a year and split it with our adult daughter and her boyfriend who only live 5 miles away.
