If this is a report from the CDC, the numbers released are far too low and the actual number is most likely higher - much much higher.
A constant frustration to me is how diligently VAERS/CDC work to hide up to date “adverse events” numbers. Even an organization like the one that authored this article is clueless about the actual numbers.
Since January VAERS only had the capacity to PUBLISH 5-7,000 cases per week despite the cases reported to VAERS were running at significantly higher rates. It created quite a backlog.
The CDC gave General Dynamics (they run VAERS processing) an additional 16 million contract to expand capacity.
In early April VAERS had published 44,000+ total. The CDC informed a reporter that VAERS had actually received 205,000 reports at that time. The following week VAERS total published was up to 51,000+ reports and the CDC told a different reporter that they had actually received 233,000 total.
Over the last two weeks PUBLISHING VAERS reports has picked up steam (probably because they now have the additional capacity.) Instead of just adding the 5-7,000 reports per week as they did from January through most of April they increased by 18,000 last week and 32,000 this week. They are beginning to work down the long lasting backlog.
The total number of received VAERS “adverse events” reports is now well over a quarter of a million. Historic, unprecedented.
