Agree or disagree with Jimmy's conclusions he spells out what he thinks the facts are first and works from there. That makes him more honest than 99.99% of the left and mainstream news.

At the time at there were a lot of critics (not in the MSM) who thought it was rather convenient that Assad would launch just a few chemical attacks, on territory largely under his control, right when the West wanted a excuse to attack him. Obama's warmongering and covertly trying to over throw Syria in the open was ignored. As was that fact that ISIS/DAESH was the group mostly likely to be in charge if Assad fell, giving them a major foothold in the Middle East.

Good luck spelling that out in a major newspaper or on TV.
