I am disappointed by the invective hurled my way because I dare to state the vaccines work and covid is a real disease that harms real people.

My apologies that you got caught in the fallout and that you feel that applied to you. And likewise for the other doctors and medical professionals who are well known on this board whom we know are not totalitarians.

It honestly never even crossed my mind that you would be included in that group to whom I was referring, or that you would see it as applying to yourself.

For one thing, it’s well known you are a medical professional as your posting history has been open about it. You are not an unknown who comes on here bloviating about how great you are and what idiots the rest of us are. Nor are you a noob who signed up to shill for big pharma. You have not broad brushed anyone opposed to this particular treatment as an “anti-vaxxer” as if this were an all or nothing situation.

Many people here with reservations about these COVID injections have clearly stated that they are not opposed to vaccines, real ones that have been tested and approved in the traditional manner.

They have presented their reasons for having reservations about this one in particular, and yet are lumped together as being “anti-vaxxers”, idiots, flat -earthers, jihadists, etc. , all by some unknowns on this board who claim to be medical professionals and don’t act very professional at all. You can read their posting histories to get a taste of what they think of themselves and everyone else. If you would like I will freepmail you a list of links to their posting histories.

I have gotten my share of vaccines and there are some I will get as needed, and some I will not get due to my reactions to them in general, but even if that were not an issue, I would not take this one for several reasons.

This is still experimental and a type that has heretofore not worked. It doesn’t even qualify for the label of vaccine according to the technical definition.

I do not trust those pushing it the hardest and who have a vested interest in using it, whether it’s for profit or they are known for population control.

I don’t trust it because of the prohibition of any other treatment so that it could receive EUA.

I don’t trust it because there were no long term studies done on it.

I don’t trust it because the democrats are trying to force its use by holding us hostage in exchange for our freedoms.

I don’t trust it because since it’s becoming obvious that it doesn’t make a person immune, they moved the goalposts to say that it would supposedly keep me from getting as sick as if I hadn’t had it. Which is impossible to know because nobody gets a do over, to see if they’d get sicker without the vaccine.

I don’t trust it because of the reports of side effects that are becoming too numerous to ignore.

There are probably some reasons that I forgot, too.

I have likewise prayed for you and other medical professionals and front line workers during this pandemic, for your and their safety and health and will continue to do so. I do know that this is a real disease and people have been really sick, really injured, and really died from it, just like happens every year with the flu. I also know people who have had it and not been injured or died.

I will try to be more diligent about not broad brushing, myself, since I have so little use for it when others do it.
