Yeah this definitely needs to be looked at.

1. Gain of function studies should be banned around the globe.
2. Exceptions should be allowed only in biohazard labs level 10 on a scale of 1 to 4.
3. Exceptions should have a very clear purpose and defined benefit.
4. Vaccines against any virus being worked with should be on hand, and probably taken by the lab staff prior to performing the work.

It’s not that difficult to move money around. Case in point, Trump moved money to fund the wall. Fauci did something similar but for a much different reason.

Well we’ve seen the danger of developing a virus without a vaccine. Whether they could have predicted the final spike protein or not, I think they probably could have developed and used vaccines against the strains they were working with that might have contained the modified virus to the lab.
