They idolize sports stars. They desire fame, and what they wrongly perceive as glamor and wealth. These people lack of substance.
They covet fame and wealth.
Their lives lack substance. This can be seen in their relationships and interactions with every day people. There is no empathy for others. Only an empty person would want to burn their own city down.
This all starts when they lack the most significant relationship one can have. That is a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
