Earlier Monday Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed HB1, a new bill from the Florida legislature that establishes new criminal definitions under the anti-riot law. The House and Senate worked on the legislation for a year after Governor Ron DeSantis led the initial effort.
[HB1] “defines a “riot” as a public disturbance involving three or more people “acting with the common intent to assist each other in violent and disorderly conduct” that results in injury to another person, damage to property, or danger of injury or damage.
The law grants civil immunity to people who drive into protesters who are blocking a road, prevents people accused of rioting from bailing out of jail until after their first court appearance, and increases penalties for assaulting law-enforcement officers while engaging in a “riot.” It also penalizes local governments that interfere with efforts to stop a riot and allows law-enforcement agencies that face funding reductions to file objections.” (link)

I was talking to a big city cop on the train platform about this. He said if the rioters are harming the car and posing physical threat, hit the gas.
Thank for explanation.
I suspect Trump and DeSantis will see how DeSantis’ run goes in 2022, and based on that decide who will represent MAGA. I think Trump would like to pass the reins if he can to DeSantis, but only time will tell.
Sounds reasonable. Thanks for opinion.
Homerun!
Never more grateful to be living in FL than the last year.
Yowza! "Lets Roll!"
Ditto Governor Little in Idaho. He is a huge disappointment — zero leadership.
HE’S THE MAN!
Yes. He is a very good governor.
I hate Illinois N***s.😏
i’ve got two...
cranked up to eleven.
More ruin due to the ‘60s.
I had no idea.
Good point. Seems it should be simple application of 4th A.
Civil Immunity is a step in the right direction but they need to give drivers in those situations reward money for new rioters and the bond money for any that are out on bail.
but no criminal immunity
so if liberal govtards want to prosecute people saving their own lives, they can
DeSantis 2024...but first...DeSantis 2022...
Now will any other states with republican controlled legislatures and a republican governor show the testicular fortitude necessary to do the same? Or will they kowtow to the mob instead? Thank heaven for politicians in Florida who have the courage to stand athwart the mob yelling Stop! at a time when no one else is inclined to do so. I am thankful I live in Florida!!!
There are other places where the riots have been held in check.
They tried some in Texas, did not get far. It was handled quietly, but with some direct conflict.
YES
By whatever means, the Riots must End.
